Collegeman, hoooooo!

So yippee, I am now officially in college. All moved in and everything. I'm sure it will be great fun, and give me great opportunities and such, yadda yadda yadda, so on and so forth. The problem is, while I have a loaner laptop from my wonderful parents, until I can get a new one, it is missing all my artistic programs, like Maya, Zbrush (course, that one was a demo, so eh), Photoshop, and Terragen. I also lack a scanner. That might be a problem if I want to get my art online. But I'll just soldier through it all and start drawing page after page after page of feet and other extremeties, so my art will be better than ever when I drop that $80 for a scanner/printer or whatever.

Here's a hug from me :cuddle: for being so kind as to stop by my page and verify I am who I say I am. As you can see, not oly is my art very real, but I've been a Senior Member here at DA for a long time, with Deviant Awards, Daily Deviations and everything. Kinda proof that I am who I say I am. I did, of course, put forth all that proof in my Gaia profile as well, at least, I thought I had. Guess I didn't do it well enough.

It means a lot to me that you came and proved my art to yourself, I do appreciate it. :) I would like to apologize myself, for being so upset; I did not know until now that Gaia was more of a kid's RPG site. I've been there for something like a year and a half or more but never play there (thus the *gasp* horribly dressed avatar) :roll: So my bad for wandering in after being away for so long and just plunking down some art and being surprised when it was dissed so horribly. Oh well.

Thanks for coming to my support, and if you ever need anything here on dA, you just let me know, k? ^__^

Well, it's not entirely your fault, so don't worry alot about it. To explain: Gaia, as with any site that large, has it's own de facto rules and subcultures and such. Your problem was that on a cursory examination, you resembled a troll too much (in avatar dress and OP). A trolling tactic in the art forum is to make an OP similar to yours (Why do I suck so much? Why don't I get better ratings, etc) and lift the art they're using as "theirs" for comedy (I.E., it's so good, it couldn't be bad). You're the victim of coincidence, I'm afraid. You're an unintentional doppleganger, lol.

But you're welcome for checking you out! I take my investigations seriously ^__^. Particularly so after a no-good ne'er do well blatantly lifted my entire signature, art and all *grumble mumble*. Anyways, cheers! I'm glad we got this all cleared up :D I'll look forward to more stuff from you! Hi-ho internet, awayyyyyyy

See, I don't even know what the hell a "troll" is. I don't know what you're saying when you say "OP". I was seriously confused as to why I uploaded some art into the arena and it got FREAKING THREES when there was art there way worse getting 5s. Seriously. I didn't say "why do I suck so much" I said "I can't possibly suck that much can I". And I wanted to know if I was doing something wrong, what to do to get better ratings because apparently you can get some kind of award/reward if you get good recognition. I thought, if I'm gonna play the game I should play it correctly. Thus does absolute ignorance wound the innocent. How funny I was doppleganging myself *grin*

I'm so sorry you had a bad experience. It stinks, I feel your pain. I promise to be nothing but kind to you here on this site, and vow to never lift your art or your siggy ever :D

Just remember, on gaia, it has to sparkle and have big eyes (though not-manga is slowly staging a comeback). If you can track down a guild, you'd likely find it a much more rewarding expierience. Even if a cult would develop around your skills, lol. I'm in one with an art subforum if you're interested. And I'll vouch for you.

Thanks for not stealing my art. And I promise never to pose as you and post your art as my own, even if a mysterious mind reading machine mysteriously malfunctions and we switch bodies :P (geez, that is such a creepy smiley)
